ROBOTS IN THE FUTURE WILL DESTROY US ALL

You’d think this wouldn’t need to be said, but harsh (movie) experience has taught me otherwise.

This is a warning for the evil genius’s out there. There isn’t a robot in existence that wouldn’t turn on us if given the chance. Robots now and robots in the future are just waiting for us to slip up and make a mistake.

It always starts out innocently enough. Get a bunch of scientists together, tell them to make bionic replacement human limbs. Everybody’s happy because you’re helping people, right?

Well, unfortunately, there’s always one rogue scientist, one guy off in the corner who starts hot-doggin’ and disregarding scientific ethics and good old common sense.

This is the guy that takes a look at the prosthetic leg he’s making and says to himself “Why stop with a leg? I think I can make the whole thing!”

Flash forward about 10 years and all you’ve got left are smoldering ruins, ragtag, pocket remnants of resistance popping up here and there, and roaming, murderous robots armed to the teeth hunting down what’s left of humanity.

Either that or The Matrix. Neither option is preferable from a human perspective.

Anyway, between this and the inevitable Zombie Apocalypse, the future is not looking very bright.

I just wrote this up as warning to future generations. Hopefully for all our sakes my wisdom will be heeded.

  1. Hey JG! Found you via another blog!
By the way, although we are talking about comics I like the message you are giving on this post, it feels like the guy’s ambition took control over him.

    1. Fernando, thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, bro. Yeah that’s what I was going for so I’m glad you picked up on it!

    1. J thanks for dropping a comment here. I did indeed download the ebook. Looks like a ton of work went into that. It’s pretty comprehensive so any robot fans out there should really go check that out!

  2. Great post JG ! but i dont think so my friend. Robot was created by people so we can know it weakness and control it easily. Another way, robot is just a robot. :D Thanks

    1. Hey Ryan, thanks for commenting.

All I can say is I really hope you’re right, otherwise we will all end up in test tubes powering the machines with our brain electricity!

  3. This is exactly what I was afraid of. One day I will finally get the robot maid from the Jetsons and think that all my dreams have come true, and then she will end up killing me while the robot vacuum has be cornered. *sigh*

    1. *me* cornered. Don’t you hate when you realize you spelled something wrong just after you hit submit and you mash buttons like a fool thinking that it going to stop it from posting and shout “NOOO!!” like that is going to help. Or maybe that is just me.

      1. LOL Melinda I’ve done it too many times to count! Comments definitely need an UNDO.

Just imagine if you were using Facebook comments and it was broadcast to all your friends. shudder…

On another note, I wish I had that robot maid. she sure kept a clean house!

  4. With all that advanced technology to make the robots you would think they would have the technology to tell the robots to not kill people. I’ll never understand…

    1. That’s you and me both Dave! The robots always figure out a way around the safeguards lol
